Fierce as a Shark

The August Player of the Month is Pete Winslow, from Woodberry, MN. Pete has been playing power soccer for four years with the Courage Thunder and has had many accomplishments, including being a member of the US National Power Soccer Team. With the Courage Thunder he has won back to back championships in two different conferences, and in November he knows Team USA will win the World Cup. "Winning the World Cup means that you are the best in the world at what you do. I want to be the best in the world."

Being on the US National Power Soccer Team means a lot to Pete and is the highest standard of play any sport can achieve. Pete is one of the top 12 players in America, and to him "being on the team symbolizes my hard work, dedication, and passion for the sport. I am part of something bigger than myself. Pete is a fierce competitor on the court, and even though he is the youngest player on the team, he has a lot of skill and ability.

Not only is Pete a talented Power Soccer player, he is also a wonderful musician. He plays the trombone and especially likes performing jazz music. "I'm not sure what I want to be when I grow up, but since music is a big part of my life, maybe something with music performance."

Pete has a great sense of humor and has been known to blame a shark for his disability. Find out for yourself if that story is true!
