Eight American athletes will travel to Paris, France this month to defend there World Cup title as the number-one ranked team in the world. Three returning members of Team USA, Michael Archer, JC Russo, and Omar Solorio join up with Case Calvert, Jordan Dickey, Katie Dickey, Kendra Scalia-Carrow, and Pete Winslow. With Head Coach Chris Finn and Assistant Coach Mike Hayes, the team hopes to lead them to a second world title.

The powerhouse team will play a round robin style tournament that begins for the US with a match against Japan in Paris's Hall Carpentier on November 3rd.

Team USA has done very well in friendly matches against local French clubs, Canada, and Australia. Team USA plays their first official World Cup game on November 3rd. Their schedule is below. All times are Eastern Daylight Time.

Wednesday, 11/2:
1:30pm – Opening Ceremony
2:45pm – Game: France vs. Belgium

Thursday, 11/3:
5:00am – Game 1: USA (2) vs Japan (0)
9:30am – Game 2: USA (13) vs Portugal (0)

Friday, 11/4:
4:00am - Game 3: USA (0) vs England (1)
8:00am – Game 4: USA (21) vs. Switzerland (0)
3:00pm - Semi-Final 2 - USA (2) vs France (0)

Sunday, 11/6:
9:00am – World Cup 2011 Final (USA vs England)
3:30pm – World Cup Banquet

The final takes place on November 6th, and if they win, they'll be the first US soccer team, of any kind, to win back-to-back world cup titles.

Note: Paris is currently between 5 (Eastern) and 8 (Pacific) hours ahead of the United States. On Sunday, they return to 6 and 9 hours ahead.
