US National Power Soccer Team

News

The US National Power Soccer Team is honored to be representing our country playing in the second World Cup and assisting the growth of the sport around the world. The starting roster of eight players is made up of three veterans from the 2007 World Cup Champion Team; Michael Archer, J. C. Russo and Omar Solorio.  After two years of training the new faces on the team seem like veterans, including Case Calvert, Jordan Dickey, Katie Dickey, Kendra Scalia-Carrow and Pete Winslow.  The alternates for the team that contributed through the whole process are Danny Gorman and Peyton Sefick.

Players and staff have shown a tremendous amount of dedication, commitment and passion over last two years of preparing for this moment.  From the beginning of the application process in August 2009 players will have put in over 100 weeks of extra weekly training to increase their skills.  The consistent and repetitive drills helped the players develop their athletic ability to its highest level.

The one thing that makes all these players great is that we work together as a team. Every individual brings something unique and different to the game.  When we put those attributes together, a powerful team is formed. Players are reaching new heights in creativity and strength to demonstrate dynamic play.

Team USA believes in unity, trust, passion, persistence and dedication. We look forward to the challenge of defending our title with the goal of being the first US national soccer team and powerchair football team to win back-to-back World Cups.

We represent you, the United States of America, every power soccer player and every person who has faced a challenge in their life to overcome. Join us on our journey to winning the World Cup.  The team needs your support especially financially.  You are able to contribute through the team’s website or going to our fundraising campaign website www.theonepowersoccer.com.

Thank you to all of our fans, supporters, sponsors, families and the United States Power Soccer Association for your support in making our journey of a lifetime possible.
